You have the product. We help you make it manufacturable — before steel is cut.
Small-batch trial orders accepted. Free initial DFM review. Reply within 12 hours.
Jeancen supports own-brand product development from idea, sample or early CAD through 3D design coordination, DFM review, mold design and manufacture, T0/T1 trials, and injection production support.
Product 3D design is coordinated through a long-term professional design partner, while a Jeancen mold engineer with 12+ years of mold design experience reviews manufacturability throughout — so design and tooling do not drift apart.
Brands and OEMs developing their own products — especially SMEs with their own products and R&D — who have an idea, a sample, a sketch or early CAD but not yet an injection-ready 3D design. Also product design consultancies and local manufacturers outsourcing mold design and injection production.
You do not need finished CAD to start. You need a clear product intent: what it does, what it must fit, and what it must survive.
Designed, then found unmoldable. A product is designed to look right, locked, and only then found to need draft, wall, undercut or ejection changes — after the design work is already paid for.
Design and tooling disconnect. Product design and mold engineering run as two separate steps, handing off through documents. Each handoff loses intent, and each correction round costs weeks.
T0 samples that do not prove production. A trial sample can pass while the process behind it is not stable — temporary fixes used to get the sample out quietly become the production method, and problems reappear at volume.
Cost cut in the wrong place. Steel, standard components, cooling and trials look like easy savings on a quotation. Cut them, and the cost returns as wear, flash, warpage, downtime or scrap.
Not knowing what to send. Founders and small teams often delay tooling for months because they are unsure whether an idea, a photo or a rough sketch is "enough" to start a serious review.
Product design and mold review are done as one connected pass, not two disconnected steps:
1. Understand your idea. A Jeancen mold engineer discusses function, appearance, key dimensions, assembly and must-keep requirements directly with you.
2. Prepare the design direction. Your requirements are organised and briefed to the long-term design partner, including product structure and downstream molding considerations.
3. Create the product 3D design. The design partner prepares the 3D design and required iterations.
4. Jeancen engineering review. Our mold engineer reviews wall and rib logic, draft, undercuts, parting, assembly, molding risk and avoidable tooling complexity — before the CAD is fully locked.
5. Customer confirmation. Any required trade-offs or changes are discussed with you before finalisation, while preserving the core product intent wherever practical.
6. Deliver final 3D CAD. The core product-design deliverable is the final 3D CAD; file format is agreed per project.
7. Move into DFM, tooling and molding. Once mature, the design continues into DFM, mold manufacturing, T0/T1 trials and injection production with Jeancen.
Design fee is quoted and charged separately from tooling. Reference materials (public reference products, photos) help us understand function and design direction — the goal is to help develop your own product, not to reproduce an existing design. NDA available when required.
A T0 sample passing does not prove the process is stable.
Trials are used to validate and correct — fill, venting, ejection, cosmetics, dimensions and stability are measured, corrective actions are taken, and T1/T2 verification confirms the fix — not to hide problems with temporary fixes that cannot repeat across cycles.
Mold steel strategy (matched to resin, volume and cosmetic need, with a defined mold life and maintenance plan); standard components (reliable guiding and ejection parts, consistent standards, a spare-parts list for quick maintenance);
cooling design (hot spots identified, balanced multi-loop layout where needed, verification planned — not guessed); and mold trials and inspection (a defined T0 → T1 → T2 plan with measurement of key dimensions).
Related components can be combined in a single family tool where they share production needs — a past family tool combined 12 related components in a single mold — with the trade-offs stated honestly:
demand ratios must stay in balance, and a revision to one component can affect the whole tool. Metal and plastic can also be combined in one insert-molding step for functional assemblies.
Once the design is mature, it continues on Jeancen's NPI path: engineering front-loading (feasibility, DFM, risk checklist, simulation if needed) → tooling design and build (mold design, machining, assembly, pre-tryout check)
→ tryout and validation (T0, measurement, corrective actions, T1/T2 verification) → pilot run, release, maintenance and ongoing support.

Jeancen is an integrated injection mold and injection molding factory in Xiamen, China. Our mold engineers bring 12+ years of mold design experience to early DFM review, mold design and manufacture, T0/T1 trials, and injection production support.
Material direction is reviewed per project from PP, ASA, PA66+GF, PC/ABS, POM and TPU, against function, fit, appearance and cost for the specific part.
Special regulatory, certification, safety, material, precision or other exceptional requirements are reviewed case by case — not promised on the page.
1. Send your idea, sketch, photo, sample or early CAD, plus function, key dimensions, assembly requirements, appearance level and volume direction.
2. Free initial DFM review: manufacturability direction, molding risks, and what the design needs before tooling — before any tooling commitment.
3. Design coordination, tooling, T0/T1 trials and production support, including small-batch trial orders. 4. NDA available when required.
