Custom Injection Molding

Plastic Injection Molding Services in China

Custom plastic injection molding in China for overseas product teams, with DFM, T0/T1 validation, low-volume and production molding, insert molding, 2K support, and project-based inspection.

Custom Plastic Parts from Mold Trial to Stable Production

Jeancen supports overseas product companies, engineering teams, and sourcing teams with custom plastic injection molding from early project review through mold trials and ongoing production. Built on mold manufacturing experience dating back to 2011, our engineering and manufacturing team connects tooling decisions with molding stability, assembly fit, appearance, and maintainability.
  • Suitable projects: new molded products, replacement tooling, transferred molds, insert or 2K components, fit-sensitive housings, outdoor parts, and functional plastic components.
  • Low-volume support: for suitable tooling, resin, part geometry, and production conditions, pilot or low-volume orders may start from around 500 pieces. This is assessed per project and is not a universal MOQ.

Production Starts with the Mold and DFM

Stable injection molding is not created by machine settings alone. Gate location, cooling balance, venting, ejection, wall thickness, shrinkage, material behavior, and assembly requirements all affect the final part. We review these factors before steel cutting and again during T0/T1 validation.
  • Part manufacturability, draft, undercuts, ribs, bosses, and wall transitions
  • Gate direction, weld-line location, filling balance, and cosmetic risk
  • Cooling logic, shrinkage, warpage, and dimensional stability
  • Venting and ejection strategy for reliable part release
  • Critical dimensions, assembly interfaces, appearance areas, and inspection priorities
The upstream process is explained further on our Engineering & DFM and Injection Mold Design & Manufacturing pages.

Injection Molding Capabilities

  • Custom thermoplastic injection molded parts
  • Pilot runs, project-based low-volume molding, and ongoing production
  • Insert molding for metal, magnet, terminal, and functional inserts
  • 2K / two-shot molding for selected multi-material or multi-color parts
  • Multi-cavity molding where part design, resin, volume, and process window are suitable
  • Selected assembly support and production takeover after mold assessment and revalidation

Materials and Applications

Material selection is based on operating temperature, weathering, strength, impact, appearance, chemical exposure, assembly method, and cost target. Jeancen project records and technical materials include ABS, PC, PP, PA and glass-filled PA, TPU, ASA, and selected transparent or engineering resins. Final resin grade, drying conditions, and molding window are confirmed for each project.
Typical applications include housings and enclosures, insert-molded electrical parts, clips and brackets, outdoor components, plastic parts fitted to profiles or metal structures, transparent or cosmetic parts, and other custom functional components. Automotive experience is supporting evidence, not a limitation on the industries we serve.

From T0 Samples to Production

  1. T0 trial: observe filling, venting, ejection, appearance, and initial process behavior.
  1. Part review: check agreed dimensions, assembly fit, appearance, and functional requirements.
  1. Engineering correction: update the mold or process based on measured and observed results.
  1. T1/T2 validation: verify the correction and confirm remaining open items.
  1. Pilot or low-volume run: confirm production handling, inspection points, and packaging needs.
  1. Ongoing molding: maintain agreed process controls, inspection records, and mold maintenance actions.

Inspection and Project Records

Inspection scope is agreed according to the part and project stage. It may include dimensional checks, appearance review, assembly verification, and agreed CTQ records. Where specified, CMM or GOM inspection support can be coordinated through established external inspection partners. DFM, trial, inspection, or validation reports can be provided according to customer requirements and the agreed project scope.

Projects That Fit Jeancen

  • Small and mid-sized product companies that need engineering communication as well as production
  • NPI teams moving from CAD and DFM into tooling, trials, and molded parts
  • Customers that need mold modification, revalidation, or production takeover in China
  • Projects where fit, appearance, inserts, outdoor use, or repeatability matter more than the lowest unit price alone
Larger programs can also be reviewed when the technical scope, volume, quality requirements, and manufacturing resources are a practical match.

Request a Project Review

Send STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, X_T, PDF, ZIP, or product photos together with the material, expected volume, critical dimensions, appearance requirements, assembly conditions, and current project stage. NDA is available before quotation. We provide an initial response within 24 hours after receiving suitable project information; detailed review and quotation timing depend on project scope.
